1. 🧠 What Is the DMCA?

The Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA) is a U.S. law that enables copyright holders to request the removal of content they believe infringes their rights. Pineapl respects copyright and will promptly investigate valid DMCA requests.

2. ⬇️ How to File a Takedown Notice

If you believe your copyrighted work appears on Pineapl without authorization, please send us a written DMCA notice with the following:

• Your full name and contact information
• The URL(s) of the allegedly infringing content
• A description of the work you believe is infringed
• A good faith statement that the use is unauthorized
• A declaration that your notice is accurate and you are authorized to act
• Your physical or electronic signature

3. ↩️ How to Submit a Counter-Notice

If your content was removed and you believe this was a mistake, you may file a counter-notice. It must include:

• Your name, address, and signature
• The URL of the content that was removed
• A statement that you believe the removal was an error
• A declaration consenting to jurisdiction of your U.S. federal court

Once we receive your counter-notice, we may restore your content unless the original claimant pursues legal action within 10 business days.

4. 🚫 Repeat Infringers

Users who repeatedly violate copyright may have their accounts suspended or terminated. “Repeat” is defined as three or more valid takedown notices linked to one user.
